Control hunger

An idea to help control my hunger and keep me from eating too much. Instead of taking a whole box of ramen to work at one time, I'll take just one pack. If I don't eat it I'll bring it again the next day.

Activity

I need an activity to help me lose weight. I've always wanted to go hiking. I think I'll make that my new hobby. I need to start by learning the basics and start building my stamina.

Time to get serious

It's time to get serious about weight loss. I haven't been focusing on it at all. I talked with my family and come up with a carrot and a stick.

Carrot: any week I lose at least 1 pound, I get an extra $5 spending money. Every 10 pounds I lose, I get a pint of ice cream.

Stick: if I don't lose at least 1 pound in a week, I'm not allowed on the computer for the weekend. No games, no programing, nothing.

I plan on posting progress and results here. And I could use tips on fighting hunger.

We start measuring on Friday. Progress between now and then will not count for the carrot or the stick, but will help me get in the right frame of mind.
